Choosing a Dall, Black Hawaiian Sheep or Mouflon hunt at Rancho De Chavez will leave you with a trophy to enjoy for years to come. We have the very best selection of trophy sheep in the Southwest with no seasonal hunting restrictions. They prefer drier habitats making Rancho de Chavez a prime habitat for sheep of many kinds.

Sheep fight to determine dominance and hierarchy so you may witness the aggressive head butt between two males.  These flocks are most active in the early and late hours of the day but will bed down among the trees or brush that surrounds the area they are foraging.

We typically let our hunters choose the method of hunting that they prefer. We can accommodate hunters of most any age and skill level.  Generally, the sheep hunt is for the hunter that is more interested in the challenge and satisfaction of mountain hunting than in getting food in the freezer. These sheep produce excellent meat but they are relatively small in size and the effort required to retrieve meat from rugged areas they inhabit can be daunting.

All hunts require the signing of a liability release waiver for the hunt property. No license required for this hunt.  Traditional weaponry or high powered are allowed. Meat processing or mounting fees are not included in the hunt fee; although, we can make arrangements on behalf of the hunter. Head and cape for mounting along with meat are all property of the hunter.
