PRESERVATION OF WILDLIFE
The staff at Rancho de Chavez elevates this unique, personalized experience beyond expectations. This working ranch has unyielding dedication to the preservation of natural resources including the pinon-juniper forest along with area grasslands and native wildlife.
“I believe it is important to conserve our natural resources. I want to ensure that the land and its environment are protected for future generations to come,” says Steve Chavez regarding his strong conservation initiatives.
Visitors are often surprised when they catch a glimpse of an American Bison or Himalayan Yak herd. These extraordinary and exotic creatures are the primary animals being raised and bred on the ranch. In addition, Dall, Black Hawaiian and Mouflon sheep are inhabitants that are growing in number.
